And while it&#8217;s all within the city limits, it feels like a whole other world. In Stammersdorf, Mauer, Grinzing or am Nussberg you feel far away from the hectic pace of the city and you encounter a cozy village character. Viennese &#8211; old and young &#8211; meet here on weekends for wine hikes. Ok, we admit, hiking could be misinterpreted, it is more like a long walk &#8211; with a stop at a &#8220;Buschenschank&#8221; or &#8220;Heurigen&#8221; (wine taverns), of course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\">In the evening, when it gets fresher and the sun is hiding behind the vineyards, we change our perspective of Vienna and continue on our culinary journey &#8211; up to the 18th floor in Das LOFT Restaurant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\">From up here, the view of Vienna is completely different. And the Veltliner? Sensational. After almost five years in the big old wooden barrel, the wine was bottled in the summer of 2022, ready to be enjoyed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Ros\u00e9 P\u2019tit Luchini 2021<br \/>\nMai et Kenji Hodgson winery, Loire Tall, France<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\">When a wooden cask Cabernet Franc falls in love with a Chenin Blanc, we get a beautiful union full of flavor. The location is one of the highest and steepest in the region. This is where the perfect Blaufr\u00e4nkisch grapes grow. Deep dark ruby \u200b\u200bgarnet, opaque core and violet reflections can be seen in the glass. Each sip stays with you for a long time and reveals dark berry fruit with a delicate underlay of chocolate, fine precious wood and good complexity. <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Gosset Brut 15 Ans Champagne<br \/>\nde cave a minima, Champagne, France<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\">This is very mature champagne from the house of Gosset, the oldest winery in the French region of Champagne. In the glass we find a golden yellow color with an elegant aroma of bread crust, honey and baked apple supported by spicy herbal notes and a light truffle aroma.
